read on...
My father was born on Friday the 13th. in February 1931. He suffered strokes and got brain damages twice... on May 13th 1994 and November 13th 1998. He is in hospital care (just waiting to die, in fact - sadly) and his 'room' number is 213. Oh, my parents house street number is 693. (Number of the beast, anyone?)
I scrapped TWO cars on two different occasions - guess what the dates were.
Most of my bank accounts have been showing a clear pattern over the years; balances normally fall by random on every first or near that specific day of any months with, hold it... exactly 13 in the decimals. More than 75% of the time.
When i sometimes wake up in the night(s)... and simply look at the digital clock it is always 1:13, in all its red flashy glory.
Those are some of the facts. Truth.
(PS... go ahead & look at my SD member number - the mathematics are **again** wacky.)
Paranoia? Better believe it.
etc...
~scratched head~ Ok, I may need some help on that one.
Catching 1:13pm via a 'military time' clock would really wig you out lol.
Off topic on the #13, but I often see 11:37 on the clock. 11:37 is when I'd get out of school to go to my co-op job.
693 = parents house.
Replace 7 with Ones.
Common denominator is indeed - three. All over.
I guess if you try hard enough, you find what you want to see. Have you thought you subconsciously have been seeking these things out (obviously not your father's illnesses, but the others at least)?
As for the number of the beast...perhaps I've missed out on something, but I always thought that was 666.
ANYwho, Neilo fixed you up with a +2 to fix that problem.
That's the way the brain works...to look for and identify patterns, even when those patterns are coincidental. It's how the brain makes sense of the chaotic world around it. I've never seen the image of Jesus burnt into a piece of toast, but if I started looking I bet I would find one eventually.
When I go for an eye test and they get that damned book out with the circles with all the colors and you got to find a path or a number, I tell them to put that thing away and tell them colors from around the room. Meld orange and yellow, green and yellow, green and blue...anything close to another on the spectrum and I'm done for.
These kinds of patterns remind me of the movie "A Beautiful Mind". Needless to say a certain amount of creative imagination is required but I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing. Just because I don't see the underlying relationship doesn't mean one isn't there.
I can stick a / (backslash, btw) and a tiny little - slightly above that ASCII character and you'd swear it's the number ONE (or seven) if you'd look from far away enough.
That's what i meant by strange coincidences in life; true, though that if a person looks hard enough they will certainly FIND odd stuff. I believe that's called Intelligence with a big I (Roman numeral 1, btw).
Thus 3+3=6+3=9... and thirtheen, well, there's more legend to it than just me can crank out.
Btw, did you know that 6+6 can equal 81? (If i'd slide a hand-written piece of paper towards you with that equation on, reversed! What about 9x9=81 and not 32, depending on the illusion...)
OHhhh its so clear now, see if you just put a 1 in front of an ordinary 0... you get TEN. its eerie. And if i stand far enough away with my glasses off it might look like a Q. Proof of a higher intelligence all around us; just not in my response.
Thanks for putting up with my sarcasm Zyx.
I go, "Wha-?"

Been doing that for the last 2 pages.
It's just that communicating (in my case) is sometimes tougher than it seem.
But... i still mostly stand by my weirdo formulas!
(Off-Topic parenthesis attempts - done & over.)
Where were we --
Karma is a logical calibration of forums participation which might become completely wacky & unbalanced once *negatives* are allowed.
Besides, i'm more of a steady Modder & timely player than a community buffer zone - so to speak.
Thus, i go *Wha-?* too. In view of that reasoning (somehow) about posting (trolling, maybe) in any given threads.
Pfft. The world is not fun without crazy people
That was my "Ripple of Evil".
You do this, you'd end up with a karma/rep system as warped as shoryuken.com
Bad bad idea that would make it even more pointless then it is now.
There is a troll on the Gamespot Dawn of War 2 forum called Bad_Karma ![]()
Does cannibalism lower my Karma?
Houston, I've got a problem here...

Or, should I just say........... Cannibalism...

I don' mind it ![]()
I got a good idea, why not just ignore an annoying person?!
or let a dead post rest in peace
I agree in general, but I also appreciate that it can sometimes be very hard for an opinionated person who likes typing to hold the line when it comes to starving out a troll/flamewar/whatever. It's the online equivalent of being able to keep your mouth shut in an office meeting even when someone you think is a complete idiot just got a good laugh from the pointy-haired alpha.
Put somewhat differently, it can be hard to postpone immediate gratification (e.g. typing 'winning' ripostes against a ripe target) in exchange for larger total gratification over time (e.g. seeing a troll/flamewar/whatever go away due to insufficient attention).
Why was this bumped?
Will this have any negative impact on my Karma?
Who's counting?
All fundamental questions that even i can't answer without multiplicating odd figures to the point where it all becomes irrational, again - in a loop of the usual mysterious unknown(s). Where the metaphysical reaches for you guts and never lets go.
Resurrected from the past... What are the odds?
Nothing magic in that - it's called the human mindset chaos. When everyone is afraid of the dark.
I submit this number to you while i'm still here; 00100100 01001111 11011000. Three words, binary formed.
Any answers?
