Folder objects open very slowly

I've been happy with ObjectDock so far, except for one nagging problem: folder objects open SLOWLY.  Program objects open normally.

In all cases, 10-20 seconds pass before the linked folder appears.  This happens with Computer, special folders like My Documents and My Pictures, Network and network computer shortcuts, and any other folder shortcut.  The same items will open quickly from the Desktop, Quick Launch bar, or Start Menu.

This happens on a well-maintained Pentium-D with 4GB RAM and Windows XP.   This does not happen on my work laptop, despite being burdened by a myriad of corporate security and compliance addons.  I'm mystified.  I even changed the security package as part of an ISP change-over this week, and the problem continues.

Ideas?  Thanks in advance.

I'm having the same problem. Anyone who might have some answers, it would be helpful!

Thanks!

Yeah, that might be the case sometimes...seeing that OD has to retrieve all the subfolders every time you click a flyout folder...and My Computer and such special folders are obviously quite big. Same used to happen with me....

No, not running QTTabber.

Normal objects, not flyouts.

ObjectDock is running with no problems on my laptop (XP, slower proc, 2GB RAM), but there is another difference: my desktop is running WindowBlinds (installed with Object Desktop), and the laptop is not.

Also, I failed to mention this: for one day about a week ago, ObjectDock was opening those same special folders (My Computer, My Pictures, UNC network links, etc.) quickly with no delay. I don't recall what I had done surrounding that event (software install/uninstall... reboot...), but OD worked OK for a brief time.

These links all work from built-in Windows locations like the Quick Launch bar, Start Menu, and desktop. Why not OD? Arrrrrrgh. :-(
