I have problems with font sizes and styles

Hi
I am using WB6 on XP SP3 and it works OK except the fact that any skin controls the font type/size according to its own decision which annoys me coz my eyes are not pretty strong to keep up with this semi micro choice of fonts' types and their sizes. I tried selecting the option " I do not want to use any system wide fonts defined by the skin" and still this does not do anything at all.

ALL i want is that to have FOR EVER the "menu bar" + "message box" + "Icon size"  font style  to be ALWAYS "MS SANS SERIF" with size 10 and i do not EVER any skin to fiddle with these. How can i achieve that???
I'll appreciate any feedback coz my eyes really can't tolerate these tiny fonts.

This is an age-old problem in Windowblinds that seems to be getting worse as WB progresses. I have used WB since version 3 or 4.

There is a setting in Windows display properties that you can check (under appearance) where you can elect not to use the skin defined font size -- but it doesn't seem to work right, at least for me.

Make a backup copy of the .uis file of the skin you are using and then edit the .uis file with something like notepad. Find the font sizes and increase them by 1. Save the file, then reload the skin and see what it looks like. The font sizes are not defined by points but by number of pixels in height. Make sure you keep a backup copy of the .uis file because it is easily possible to make the problem worse.

Seems like some of the changes don't really take effect until after you "Apply My Changes", then log off or reboot. "Apply My Changes" then unload WB, re-load WB might work too.

No promises on that, but I'm pretty sure I've played with the fonts before and thought "well I guess that's as good as it's going to get", but then after I've shut down / re-started I've seen changes more in line with what I'd been expecting. You might give that a try.
