Add "Report post" to the forum.

[Suggestion]

from Stardock Forums

Either I am blind, or the forum is lacking a proper report function. I think that the Stardock mods needs a better MCP, and for users to report post more easierly. With the official release of Impulse, the traffic will increase alot.

I hope with the future stages of Impulse, the forum will be upgraded to a proper solution. E.g. IP.Board, vBulletin, etc.

I think it was one of the functions that haven't yet been readded after the database/forums update a while back.

I take it the button that says 'Report' just to right of the thumbs up button (to give karma) is just decoration and has no function at this time?

Hum yeah it is there, although it isn't there for the first post in a thread. Being able to report that would be helpful, for all those "buy nike, armani, blah blah" spam threads.

Very well.  About 20 Stardockians get an email with a link to the post and the reporters description of the problem.  It's taken very seriously from a very high level.  (I wouldn't recommended testing it.  ;))

That is what I mean about a proper MCP. It is easier to have the reports, mods options gathered in one place. Rather then everyone getting a email each time there is a new report.

If there is an issue . . they want to know right away.

It's coming. No ETA, but it's coming.  For now if you see a post that is spam or some such, make a quick reply and then report your own reply. I know its hackey, but it works for the time being.

Can you actually do this?

When I make a comment I see the report button on every comment on a thread except my own.

You can also PM any of us Mods. We are in here often but a heads up won't hurt us.

andrew there is the forum guru from olden tales not spoken by.... woah went deep there. Anyway if he says it is coming you can be sure it is.
