Once again, my XP Home has choked on a bootskin

Does anyone have a workaround for this???

I seem to have no luck at all with bootskins. I just got a blue screen of death, followed by an "offer" to start in safe mode. I disabled the bootskin and it started fine. But dammit, I just hate that black MS bootscreen, and I really would like something better.

Thanks, Wendy

Have you tried all three versions?  If so . . you may just be out of luck (tm)  (:(

I could never get bootskin to work right since day one. As soon as I got the BSOD...it got the BOOT!

If you are currently using 1.05, try using a previous version, I have seen that previous older versions have worked when the newest version didn't. If that still doesn't work, at least you tried. Bootskin doesn't work on every pc unfortunately.

font="Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"][/font]Well, that's interesting. I think it worked. What I had before was the free version. Maybe that doesn't work or something. At any rate, I tried V.03 and deleted the file you mentioned before. Then I reloaded the bootskin, and so far it's working.

But say, what and where is version 5?

Keeping my fingers crossed,

Wendy

Hey, I tried deleting the suggested file. Then tried v.03, which worked just fine! Thanks for the help.
