Ship templates mix-up

Hiya, 

I apparently ran into an issue with my ship templates and designs. I'm honestly not sure whether it is a bug or intentional design that I just can't figure out so if posting this in general is misplaced, my apologies. Regardless, I hope to find some answers because, well, its irritating   

Problem: My saved templates and designs do not show up in my game. They save to my drive, I tracked the files down. I experimented, because I know from DA times that those files are tied to racial styles. As in, a template done while using Drengin ship style will not be available if your next game uses the Arcean style. My results were interesting, but not conclusive.

Results: My templates saved as Thalan style, despite the fact that at the time I used Yor. Changing the filename to reflect Yor had no result. Starting a fresh game with Yor style, had no effect. Starting a fresh game with Thalan style showed all my changes but none of my older designs. I blame this on the fact that I used Thalan tech tree in the game I designed my ships in (why else would it save as Thalan after all).

However..I'm still quite confused as to how to make my "missing" templates show in my current game and more importantly, with my chosen ship style. I don't play Yor as a race, I bounce around tech trees, but I like their ship style, just me /shrug. Basically in DA, I had to settle on one ship style to get all my own designs for my games..and that no longer works. I wonder what changed in coding to cause this and I'd really like a solution as to how to fix it. I want my new and my updated ships to be available to me just like my old ones are. The prospect of getting my templates scattered over a dozen racial file-codes just because I try out new tech trees is not appealing
