Tile Bonuses and Improvements

A simple question: does tile bonus work with improvemments that give bonuses to other improvements? I have a tile that gives +300% research. If I build a research center on it, it gives some extra technology points. If I build technological capital on it (+100% to research), it looks likes I get extra +300 tp (shown in the summary screen) although research production on the planet is lower, when a research center is built on this bonus tile, and techology capital is built on a normal tile. So, should a techlogical capital be build on a tile, that gives bonus to reasearch, or should this tile be left for research centers?

AFAIK the tile boni only apply directly to production. Building a bonus improvement on a bonus tile doesn't have any benefits.

Entertainment centers are what you build on morale tiles. (approval = morale)

Morale and influence buildings don't work with points, they have a percentage increase over the points the planet themselves have.
That means that improvement tiles will actually affect these given percentages.
(A political capital built on a morale tile will give a 50*2= 100% morale bonus!)


Research and manufacturing tiles only increase points, not percentages, approval and influence tiles only improve percentages, not points. This seems contradictionary, but then you get used to it...

A quick shortlist:

Morale improvement tile, will it affect...
Political capital morale boos -> yes (but only the morale part of the bonus)
Trade good that gives morale boost -> no
Entertainment center -> yes
Farm -> no, don't be silly

Manufacturing tile, will it affect...
Manufacturing capital -> nope
Manufacturing center -> jawohl
Power plant -> no!
Research center -> gar nicht (that's a no)

Research tile, will it affect...
Research Capital -> nope
Research center -> yep
Research Coordination Center -> nope
Omega Research Center -> nope
Manufacturing center -> nope

Influence tile, will it affect...
Political capital -> yes (but only the influence part of the bonus)
Embassy -> aye
Stock Exchange -> YES (but only the influence part of the bonus)
Galactic influence boosting achievement -> nope!

Food tile,
Farms -> yes
Everything else -> no

That should answer basically all your tile improvement questions

Which is exactly why i'd really like if the Colony spreadsheet would not cap its effective percentages at 100 maximum! And show me, the exact value such as 145% for planet X.
Same sort of reasoning with other 'statistical estimations' we must guess.

Holding your mouse over the approval rating will give you a breakdown, which will allow you to assess how much "spare morale" you have above 100%. However, this mouseover tends to be off by a few %'s, so it isn't exactly accurate...

I wouldn't generalize on Farms. Charging Stalks (Yor tree) in TA give morale do they not?

I'd blame the machines for that. The forum machine from blocking editing of a quoted post and the Yor machines for having a morale bonus on their Charging Stalks.

What about the Restaurant of Eternity?
It has a +20% influence bonus and is a Galactic inflence boosting achievement. Wouldn't it work on a inflence bonus tile?

I also haven't checked, but I think a Dark Influence building may also be affected by an influence tile.

If this did work, such a construction would be waaaaay overpowered, so be glad it doesn't! Either way, they only work for Achievements that have a planetwide effect, not for empire wide achievements. (This empire wide bonus is calculated seperately from planetary bonuses like embassies)
