"insufficient permissions, rerun as admin" wtf? i am admin

having a hell of a time getting things installed. the install quits out on me with a popup saying i don't have sufficient permission and that i need to rerun as admin. you probably guessed it, i am admin. what do i need to do in order to install? thanks much for any insight.

slamhound Hi..if you were running windows Vista here is a nifty little program that I use all the time, saves quite a bit of clicking...You can use Take Control or these registry files for taking ownership of system files in Vista. http://www.winmatrix.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=13157  :HOT:

Thanks for the replies, here's a bit more info to help any troubleshooting:

Windows XP
Trying to install Object Desktop Ultimate
(when trying to install Impulse on it's own i get a "no permission to access NET 2.0")

Are you on SP3? Do you have .NET 2.0 SP1 installed?

I would suggest you download and install via SDC for now instead.
