Tech tree modding help (using the ToTA tools)

Hi, i was thinking of making a kinda new government branch to split off from the interstellar govs. bit, so on the on hand you have star rep, democracy etc etc, and on the other i was thinking of having a socialist branch, i was thinking of a split which means you can only chose one branch, and then also to have a kind of xeno ethics screen with like war communism, international marxism, and reactionary marxism, (or something like that i havent quite figured it out yet), however the tech options for a thing like that arent on the tools (or i cant find them) so i was wondering if anyone could kind of point me in the right direction?

This is not possible, since the gov types are hardcoded and unfortunately one is not able to assign a gov_type flag to a custom tech :(

no? not even in, like, a xeno ethics way?

That might be possible, but do not change the tech id, otherwise eg. the elections don't get triggered. basically, 3 gov types are available.
