minor race tech tree.and other trees

whats exactly are my options when creating a custom race

from GalCiv2 Forums
so there i was creating an nice balanced race. when i got to the point where i choose my tech tree,and i find the option,minor race tech tree. i thought to my self what is in that tree?why would i choose the minor races tree for my race.

anyone know if it has colonization ,invasion techs and the other essential techs to win a game even in it?

if not ,then where is the vanilla option?

Galactopedia is your friend. Can't recall where you get the thing. You'll have to run a search for the updated TA version. I believe vanilla in TA would be Terran since they are pretty much the base for the game, or the minor race tree since it is the most generic and least focused.

It is viable as a tech tree, it is very similar to the original tech tree for galciv 2. The only problems I noticed is maintenance fees are a tad higher. Now minor has no benefits like racial wonders and very few of the bonus items that are 1 per planet. I would recommend exploring other tech trees as the one per planet items are too nice to pass up on.
