Impulse not showing updates plus more problems

The following applies to my Vista machine only.

Seeing WB 6.1 was available, I opened Impulse. I have used it b4 to update products, and Impulse itself. No updates showed, so I used right click on each program to verify installation. It reports that ObjectDock +, Windowblinds, DesktopX and Rightclock are not installed correctly, and require updating.  I have Object Desktop Ultimate.

If Impulse is not reporting that there are required updates (and I know that for at least Windowblinds there is an update available), how do I update the products or get Impulse to work? I used to have Stardock Central but uninstalled it when I switched to Impulse.

Existing issues were loading Windowblinds on startup disables Desktop Window Manager, and I have to use a bat filed provided by Stardock to enable DWM every time I start my PC. Loading standard Vista resolves this but it reoccurs when I load WB. Uninstalling WB and a clean install using Stardock Central did not resolve. Desktop X will not autoload even though the appropriate box is ticked. Now the Impulse issue.

I have used Stardock products for years, but slowly they are becoming too unreliable (for me) to continue their use on my Vista machine. If any assistance can be provided I would be grateful.

Could you click the stardock button at the top left and check for application updates.
Also there make sure you are using server USA-1.

I wasn't aware that the Stardock button was active but having said that it did not indicate that any updates were due and it is set to server 1.

Yes to version 1.01.155, and next to that (images:1.00.074)

Lets try uninstalling the current wb version you have and reinstalling it again.
What else do you have installed and does it look like it is up to date?
It may come down to a reinstall of Impulse ... but I do not think so as yet.

Could you do this for me - I would like to see what happens when you install SDC again and what update info you receive from it.

Here is a link for the download of SDC
WWW Link

You will need your info for activation here also.

I have been saying this all over the place so forgive me repeating this. Clearing the XML data might clear Impulse from seeing the update info.

To do this: Click the "?" help button in the top right corner. Open the XML Public folder. Delete everything inside. Restart Impulse.

Does that make 6.10 available to you now?

Thank you both.

I cleared the xml data as suggested and yes, that fixed the Windowblinds update problem.

I installed SDC and the only update it showed was Object Desktop Launchpad.

I do not know why validating the registration via Impulse showed an update was required for other programs but I repeated that process and they still show as not being installed properly.

As DesktopX is not working properly, and Impulse shows it is not installed properly, should I uninstall it via Impulse and reinstall? It was initially installed via Impulse when I bought Windows Desktop Ultimate. If so, are there registry items I should remove before re-install?

Again, thank you.
