Mega Event weirdness

I have had some odd mega event behavior in my last game.

While playing on a Small map, Normal AI, Custom Civ usuing the Yor Techtree Against the Humans and Altarian, I got the Disease Mega Event.

The Event WND stated I needed to research Xeno Medicine to find a cure.
From experience I knew I needed to get Disease Cure after that.

There is no Xeno Medicine in the Tree. I had to trade for it. Further more, There is no "Disease Cure" available for me to research even after I have Xeno medicine. In addition, it deleted one of my ship designs right out of the Shipyard and changed all planets producing that ship to "Nothing"

For those who beta'd. I'm assuming you research either Antivirus or Firewall, but they've been there since the start of the game. Is that correct?

Fortunately/or not, despite my now apathy stricken citizens and their total lack of productivity (I didn't realize everythign in teh civ went to 0, even my logistics!), I had enough momentum to capture a few strategic planets and CF the humans, wining, so I never got to finish researching Antivirus and Firewall (1175 turns my rear end!)

I'm a little more concerned about the disappearing ship in the ship yard. I'd be glad to zip up everythign you need (Debug.err, the Savegame), but I don't see an "attach" button here in the forum.... Grrrr.

When you said it isn't in the tech tree however, were you only looking in the abridged version in the top left showing what techs are immediately available to research?

Or did you search down through the entire tech tree (most likely found in the green area around where Xeno Biology would have been found). I remember the Plague/Disease Cure tech never showed up on that abridged section, I had to scroll down through the large tree to find it.

I did look on the large tech map, and was unable to find it. Although with the new tech trees, it might have been in an area where the normal "green" xeno biology tree is not.

I'll send the zip as soon as i get home - business trip.

Yeah, I had this happen.

Already sent the save file and debug to the devs.
In my case, I was playing Drath and wasn't able to research Disease Cure until i restarted the game back up. I also lost a ship design. Even some ships (mine and AI) hps went to zero and the moves went to 543263563737/0 and when clicked on they disappeared.

Same thing just happened to me and I lost about 10 turns (4 of my saves were corrupted). Also all the fleets positioned outside in space lost all their ships esetially becoming ghost fleets.

It seems this virus somehow is able to transcend the game and dirrectly infect your machine  ;) 

Since i assume we are all using the same version I wonder if there is some way of dissabeling Only this specific until the next update.

Antivirus and Firewall are the disease cure line for the Yor, IIRC. I haven't played them since they were first released in the beta, but I'm pretty sure that they are just renamed versions of Xeno Medicine and Disease Cure.
