TOA - Campaign & Korath

Hi there,

I have started the ToA campaign and I'm surprised at how fast the Korath can have Small Hull with 9 or 11 laser rating! How can this even be possible? I'm still with Small with 2 attack and 2 defence, and they manage to have 11 laser points on a ship? Perhaps the vets can explain that too me  :)

The Korath beam weapon tree is, in my opinion, overpowered. IIRC, they have some tech right after Lasers where most others have Plasma weapons, that instead lets them leapfrog technologically. Playing against them usually ends up with them having a ridiculous military rating due to their little ships with 30 laser attack on them, and everyone else has, as you noticed, 5 or 6.

The korath are suckers for military starbases... drop one down and a small ship to catch their attention.

load up the starbase and you'll not have issues with them again. like moths to a flame. works for the DL's as well. (it's how I beat the first campaign map).
