MyColors Media Player doesn't work

Or am I just using it wrong?  Do I have to install ObjectDesktop as well as MyColors?  I try to click on the MediaPlayer but nothing happens.  Any help?

Are you sure you're doing it right?  You have to download an install, you can't just click on the screenshot.

Yeah. I installed MyColors and then the Aggie Theme started downloading and installing.

I just purchased the Dallas Mavericks (no jokes, please) theme and the Media Player doesn't even show up. The icon is in the system tray, but the player itself is nowhere to be found. If I right-click the icon in the tray, it gives me the option to hide it, so it is running.

What resolution are you running at?  I wonder if it's off screen.

Orton, on the media player, in the upper left, click on the star. Then click on Windows media player and try again.

This is all very strange....  I'll let the support guys know about this thread so that they can start collecting info and see what we can find.

Nope. Changed resolution and nothing. it's not there. the weather gadget doesn't work for either theme either. If I try to click on the star in the media player a little popup comes up that says 'Media Player' just like if I were to hover the mouse over it.

Does the media player respond at all when you click on it? Do the buttons depress and the menus come up and it just doesn't play any music? Or is it totally unresponsive?

If you are getting responces from the gadget but it isn't playing music run Itunes and minimize it. Then try hitting play to see if it runs. Let me know if that works.

If it is totally unresponsive what security software do you currently have running?

It's "totally unresponsive". I can't click on anything. If I click I just get the pop-up like I would hovering with the mouse.

I don't have security software.

Since it's media player 11, is it in compact or mini mode on the taskbar when opened?

When you loaded the MyColors theme a folder for the Gadgets should have been created on your desktop. When you close the gadget and then run it from that folder does the same thing happen?

Also are the Weather gadget and clock working?

Yes, the same thing happens. I discovered that I can utilize the volume and the other slider if I'm playing a song when iTunes is open.

Weather doesn't work. There's no clock gadget.

My mistake, this theme does not contain a clock.

However because your weather gadget isn't working I am still thinking that something is blocking the scripts of the gadgets from running.

Do you have anything like a popup blocker, adaware, spyware remover... something like that you could try temporarily disabling and then try starting up the gadgets again to see if they run?

When you try it out this time run ITunes then minimize it to the tray. Test all the buttons.
