Setting Starting Locations

I just bought the game 2 days ago, finally got to the map creator. I was making a team map, but couldn't figure out how to set the starting location so I don't always have an ally spawning in the middle of enemy territory. I read a few post on this forum about it, one said that you can set it in map creator mode, but I can't figure it out. Please help

Team index of the player menu. I'm not really sure if it works, though, I always get mostly random starting locations no matter what.
