I was playing under the name Mona Lisa Overdrive.

crusher was 50 games, 35 wins, 0 losses

Basically it's a small map, and he sova rushes me right away. This replay features a lvl 7 Marza. I do a raid at one point while im teching to kodiaks and hit a military lab and run. I was also was taking the asteroid belts during the raid.

Lots of push pull in this match hard fought.

Sova rush is one of the most popular capital ship rushes because embargo steals your money and slows your builds.

Also since its a carrier it can circle while the fighters and bombers work the frigates and buildings.

Stopping a sova rush is just about keeping your cool mostly. Ignore the carrier and let him steal wipe all the frigates, without a cap around his frigs they will die easily. If the map is small enough to be sova rushed then never tech civ first. Always tech your military. In this game I was able to produce flak. Flak countered his LRM swarm and chewed up his squadrons, making his sova nothing more than a flying pickpocket.

Make sure if you use flak to counter LRMS to fly past them. They turn slowly. So you can keep putting your flaks behind their lrms and they are like sitting ducks! I got the marza because the map was small and I wanted a ship that could win a 1v1 with a cap.

The akkan would have been pointless because there are so few expansions on the map. Get a fighter!
