WB 6.1 - desktop background resets no matter what

No matter what setting I use, overriding the skin defaults to use my preferred desktop BG colour, I'm reset to the skin default when I start up or unlock my desktop - XP Pro sp2.
This wasn't an issue before 6.1 as far as I recall - certainly not before the betas, anyway.

Open the skin in skin studio, go to misc > colors > edit the background - desktop.

easier fix....open a graphics program......create a 600x600 jpg of the color you like......save it.....apply it as wallpaper in tile mode......problem solved regardless of Windowblinds version changes.
