Minidump on 1.04 with 1.04 saved game load

I see several threads on minidumps caused by 1.04, but so far the only responses have been about loading previous version saved games.  I started a new huge game on 1.04 and no problems after 4 hours of play.  Saved the game to do some things around the house, now it minidumps less than a minute into loading the saved game.  Are there any known workarounds?  This has only happened to me since downloading 1.04.

I got a minidump on 1.04 five seconds after starting a new game.

I'm not happy, and would like to know how to fix this as well.

I wasn't running a mod, and got one; than I ran a mod, and got one. So it happens either way. :(

And it happens with every game I start, several minutes in. Started after I got the patch.

Welp, send it in to support@ironcladgames.com I s'pose :P If you're feeling adventurous, you can turn on error reporting in your user.setting file, and it might tell you why it's crashing also.

Just the one saved game.. I got frustrated (tried to load it 4 times several reboots to make sure it wasn't something to do with memory) so I didnt try to play it again. I'll start a new game tonight and see what happens.

Yea I have the same problem but its crazy. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt.

i was on the biggest map available in the game and i managed to wipe out 6 hard enemies in 3 systems with max number of capital ships and fighters ships but then this minidump appears and crashed the game. i cant even load it!! any ideas?

Same. As soon as I load, it happens to me as well. I'll see what things I can do to go around it, but we really shouldn't have to at all. These minidumps should have been taken care of already.

And you're all absolutely positively sure you're loading 1.04 games? Previous version save games do not work.

The next game loaded ok. Although there is still some cursor lag and hangs right after loading up the saved game.

That's not unusual, because it needs to load all the objects, textures, etc - as long as it doesn't last, anyway :P

Ah poo. I was loading a previous version of the game. Sigh, that game was going so well too... I'll retry with the new version and letcha know how it goes.
