XP\Vista what's the difference in creating icons

from WinCustomize Forums

I created some icons "true color + alpha channels 32 bit" (16,24,36,64,72,96,128,256) for XP

I don't have Vista but I would like to know how to create icons "ready for Vista"

Vista icons 256 compressed format, Axialis support that.Axialis website :)

Is an icon working in XP + Vista:
