Have you just tried playing the mod single player? I find most mods work best this way and also local area network. I never tried online play yet but the way it sounds, its not going to work so well just yet.

Your mods - they eneable right? The game does not mini dump you after trying to tempt to turn one on? If the game reads the file and you are able to run the mod under single player I do not believe its the mods but just the game being unstable.

Oh! Under the mods folder how do you have the mod folders setup like? example

Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods\x10\x10\Gameinfo

or

Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods\x10\gameinfo ?

If the first option, you need to delete one folder of x10 and have only 1.

Like Videz posted, how exactly do they not work? Crashes or don't show up for selection or? ;)

You had not mention this under your first post, but did you update the game to 1.03? If not, I'd recommend tempting that then run the mods. If you had updated, to 1.03, then....*slap the computer consule once* then -

Check folder paths. Make sure there is no Sub-folder like mods\x10\x10 it should be only mods\x10\gameinfo etc

You say they show up for selection? Are you saying the game loads the mod when select to enable? if so, after starting a game from single player, does it tempt to load the screen and then sudden defeat? If so, I have had that sorta problem also. The files you are tempting to use are corrupt and need to redownload other. If when you tempt to just enable the mod, and does not load but get a mini dump, then the files of the mod are corrupt and I recommand redownloading the mod from this sites download section. (PST! be sure the game is verion 1.03) =) I'd say this is all that I could really tell you without being at your machine my self to see what it doing what. Because, setting up mods is for this game is what you call "Real simple".

I'm having a problem like this myself. I had 1.05 installed until I realized no mods of mine were up to that level, so I uninstalled the game, wiped the folders out, then reinstalled and re-instaleld my mods. I tried to boot up Sins Plus and the Mars Effect, but each time I get a mini-dump upon clicking "enable." I'm at version 1.04, but it didn't work in 1.03 either...

Any ideas? The paths are correct and there are no extra subfolders.

If a mod causes a crash when you try to enable it, it's either got errors in it or it's for the wrong version of the game. The latest version of Uzii's Sins Plus does work with 1.05, though I don't know about the other one.
