I think this is an issue with the free version.  This is not a problem with the latest paid version.

I`m using the free latest version 1.9 .. running on winxp sp2, i dont understand the reason for this bug, this only happens after the 4th or 6th time that i have used the docklet, then i must to restart the application for a normal performance .. until the 4th or 6th again and over and over .. grrr .. my xp is in spanish language .. i think it`s probably a matter of path names .. could it be? .. i really dont know .. HELP!!!!

I use the freeloader version - no issues except as to where the menu appears...

so I use a .vbs instead

copy into notepad:

set wShell=wscript.createobject("wscript.shell")
wShell.sendkeys "^{ESC}"

save as: start.vbs

point a shortcut on the dock to it

I'm using WinXP SP2 with Objectdock 1.90plus build 535u. I get the following message when I try and use the Start Menu. "StartMenu helper file was injected but fail to take effect. Cannot show start menu at this time, please try again".

I Was having the same issue. I found a solution that seems to work for me so far. I'm using Vista with Objectdock 1.90plus build 535u.

Right click your start menu and select properties.

I then changed my StartMenu style from "Classic Start Menu" to "Start Menu" (Vista Style) Then Click OK.

Now click on your ObjectDock StartMenu. You will recieve the error message again.

Now click on your ObjectDock StartMenu AGAIN. It should now work correct.

Note: No Matter Windows version your running, Try changing your start menu style just like i described above and it may help you out.

I was sometimes getting this message.  I am also unable to click on the start menu when it appears.  as I move the mouse from the start menu icon onto the start menu itself, the menu goes away.  I tried making the vbs script mentioned and the same behavior occurs.  how do you get the start menu to stay visible and to be able to make choices from it?

I've had this same problem from time to time on several computers over the last two years, using ObjectDock Plus. Every time I log off my account, the problem goes away. I can use the taskbar Start Menu button instead of ObjectDock in the meantime.
