IconPackager - Previous Beta release

Sir/Madam

Would it be possible to get the release 3.99b.[a].047 ( or the one just befor the last release ) of IconPackager.

I have an application that accepted the icons with that version , but does not with the lastest.

Thanks

Stan

Do you have SDC set to archive and install?

You can't back up on beta versions I am afraid. If you are having that kind of trouble try doing a fast uninstall/reinstall. Should that not work contact us at support@stardock.com with your system information and we will help you as best we can.

Please keep in mind this is still a beta and subject to errors. It is generally a safe bet to back up to the last release version.

Can you be a little more expansive about that, Seabass? I've always been able to backup beta versions - are you saying only 'download & archive' is inop for betas? It's always been an available option (isn't greyed out).

I believe what Seabass is saying is that if you don't have "Auto-archive on application update" checked and have not archived a previous beta then when you update to a more recent beta version you will not be able to get the previous beta(s) that were available. You will only be able to get the released version.

back up = go back to a previous beta

For me SDC shows that as the latest, but Impulse shows a newer one.

Thank you for the clairification Hankers that is in fact what I was going for. Every once in a while I get wrapped up in Stardock speak and forget to elaborate fully.

From here on out you are going to start seeing the newest updates through Impulse. Stardock Central will still be getting big updates but the little ones are on Impulse now. It's a brave new world.

Thanks All , i did not have "Auto-archive on application update" turned on, so i guess the answer is no. :( , oh well , it was just an obsevation made to the Application "Magellen Explorer" . I use this
app rather than windows explorer. But the icons do not come though to the app. with the current version of IconPakager , they did not come though with 2.3 , only that one beta release. Is this
something i can ask support about, the application? i mean.

Perhaps a request made in the ObjectDock forum would be the place to ask.

I think I almost have a handle on this from another thread. Impulse will show a different (not necessarily newer) set of 3 numbers after the last dot of the version number (1.23.xxx) than the corresponding version in SDC, even though they are the same version, having to do with Stardock's internal tracking or bookkeeping. We'll have to get used to it.
