WindowFX for vista

WindowFX for vista

When is WindowFX for Vista going to be available? I really can't wait any longer. I got Object Desktop because of WindowFX not even knowing it wasn't compatible with Vista until they put up that message. I really don't want to switch over to Mac, but I'm about to if I don't get any window transition effects for Vista RIGHT NOW!!!!! LOL..j/k. But I'm serious. Stardock hurry up and get on your grind..

Here it is October 24, 2009 two days after the release of Windows 7. I guess we don't have to worry about a update on Windows FX for Windows Vista that I have only been waiting for two years for. I guess the question is now will we ever see a update for windows 7 for Windows FX?

End of rustybear3's quote

WindowFX3 has always been designed for Windows XP.  I don't think the website has ever given the impression it is for Windows Vista or Windows 7.

I'd agree Neil however, it is sold as a package within OD which means we do not get all of the software that is advertised and paid for when OD is purchased.

Does this mean we are going to get a rebate back on the software for the worthless programs that come in the software?

Why would you get a rebate for an app which is included as part of ObjectDesktop that is clearly shown as currently supporting Windows XP only on the purchase page? (https://www.stardock.com/products/odnt/purchase.asp)

There will be a Windows Vista / 7 supporting version of WindowFX this year, but the feature set will not be identical to the XP version.

A couple weeks ago, I contacted SD directly and they responded by saying that they don't plan to update FX for Win 7.  Too bad, I liked the FX program and it would be a nice addition to Win 7.

Can you please post the support ticket number where you were told there were no plans to update WindowFX please.

Sorry, Neil, I already deleted the emails.  If what I was told is wrong, then I'm hopeful that SD plans to update FX for Win 7.  That is a pretty cool program and it would add a nice touch to Win 7.
