Most states have laws against such practices. Meaning if you try and sue someone for a very bad or unlikely reason... it would never make it to court. You would be wasting the courts time and such. Also there are other laws which would allow the people you are sueing to counter sue you for an even more worthy cause too! Which in most cases happens and they do win usually.
But if you have a accident because of some stupid reason with a product of whomever. You may want to check the agreement for said software. Most has a statement saying they are not responsible for what or whenever. So if you blow yourself up - then oh well tuff luck for you!
As for games and being struck by lightining... that is considered with most insurance companies as an act of nature. Which you are at fault - not anything to do with being an accident.
And as of the other new federal laws concerning Homeland Security and such...
Please if you would not state in this forum you are going to crash your car into such and such and blowup so and so. Not a good practice to be preaching anywhere.
So to put it simple for you Zellio...
No - Stardock or any other corp or co. is NOT resposible for anything that may happen accidental or otherwise with any product... plus you would have a very hard time sueing these people or for that matter anyone else for such as case. As it is; you may be just held accountable for your present actions is all and/or any other statements for such a stupid idea.
Ironic statements can be considered as many things in a law suit and are usually what does the most damage for anything.
So by what you have mentioned here already - I would not be willing to see you try any of the things you have given here as your idea of an accidental reasoning for such and such a cause.
Oh and we are not bashing you either... Just thinking outloud a bit too as you did...
heheheheeee.... it is a free country - but even here freedom of speech has it's rules too!
