Sorry about this and no I didn't do it on purpose. I clicked post reply and it froze, it took me forever to get out of it and when I came back in I got this mess. I do not think I am funny as I had a question to ask, but instead wound up with this mess. I hope I am not banned!

Thankfully, you explained yourself and I'm sure they'll be helping you as soon as someone sees that this was an error and not a joke.

We'll call that the "DAVIDINTEL Bug" ....;)

I may be wrong since I rarely use DX................but Package Builder is part of the "Pro" version. Most modules can be accessed thru the right click menu from the icon in the systray.

I thought it was part of IconPackager not Desktopx? I have ObjectDesktop, so hopefully I have this part of the program. I just can't seem to locate the package builder.

it is part of icon packager.
and I think you can save a set of icons as a package. someone will be able to tell you in more detail eventually . wish I could but I haven't mastered it yet myself.

OK, in version 3.99..something....on the Icons & Cursors tab > Save Icon Package

First you create or collect all you icons, then you assign them, then you save as a package.......

Hi DAVIDINTEL.

I know what you mean.
In earlier builds of the program, there was an option, where you could open a "new" package and
apply icons to the default ones.
In the latest build (i think since the 3.99 builds) I missed that option.

But here's how you can do the same.
- rightklick on the "windows default icons" in the "look & feel" tab
- choose "load Icon Package"
- and switch on the "Icons & Cursor" tab

There you will find "all" default icons. And now you can change them one by one if you like.

At bottom drop down, says local update, click arrow for package builder. I think it is still a work in progress, have not been able to successfully save a package in any of the betas, including the latest. I have all my packs saved as individual icons, when try to assign icons from a pack to quick launch, then either save pack or save as a new pack, the icons are gone, no longer part of pack. Using local update can easily change quick launch icons on the fly but save or save as does not work.

Thanks Cavan1, it was right there all the time. A little too well hidden for me.

Thanks to you as well BarberioX.

@ Cavan1:
Yes, I missed that option. But when I compared the "package builder" option and the way I did it,
I noticed, that not all default icons won't show up in the "files" section.
Maybe that will change in future builds.
