Plz help me with vista

open WB configuration

click the system info tab

click the copy text button

right click here in the add a reply box and paste the info

I'm waiting for this answer with bated breath. I'm having the exact same problem. I went back to WB 5.51 Vista Edition. It works, but I'd like to use the WB 6 that I paid for.

Sometimes On Vista, I noticed that when you apply the blind it does this but if you apply the blind then log off and back on to your desktop the blind will then appear like it's supposed to, give that a try and see if it helps.

From what those numbers say there for the dates and build - YOU NEED TO UPDATE . . .

That of the wb6 not for the wb5.51 you are currently using. You will need to reinstall and have what is running to get it fixed. If we can not help you here... you also may need to contact support.

i have tried to restart it after i applied the skin and it didnt work but ill try again. and
can u tell me how to update plz?.......like i said b4 im new to this program!!!!!

I was going to put the info up, but my configuration window opens so big I can't get to the copy button! I don't know what to do, everything I've tried to get to the top of the window didn't work! Any ideas?

MouseGoddess, have you tried right-clicking the window and selecting restore?

OK, This is getting old. Ever since last week my computer has been doing this also and my copy is NOT cracked!

have you pulled down the menu next to skin options and tried "rebuild list"?


MouseGoddess, are you using a resolution of 800x600?

only about 32 times. I often have to do that since the buttons either aren't there or don't respond. I uninstalled wb a couple days ago & reinstalled. I can apply windows aero but when I try to apply a skin even though it doesn't even show i the list it goes back to classic.

also on startup I get

Event viewer > The Desktop Window Manager was unable to start because a composited theme is not in use + The Desktop Window Manager has exited with code (0x40010004)

I can't even get to the restore button or the top of the browser to move it down. Resolution of 1024x768.

i see that it says the kernel32.dll file...is the wbconfig.exe interfering with the kernel32.dll?

I finally managed to grab the bar and movr it down and guess what? I don't have a copy button at all! Now what??  

OK, I finally got mine to work. Here is what I did.

Uninstalled Windowblinds > reboot > backed up all skins & deleted the shared windowblinds folder > deleted the c:\program files\object desktop\windowblinds folder > reboot > reinstall windowblinds through sdc > reboot > applied a skin....it went back to classic again > logged off/on > it was working > reboot > opende wbconfig from a kkmenu shortcut in Object Dock ... all skins unknown > open wbconfig from the windowblinds directory > all good > checked object dock.exe ... i had it set to windowsxp sp2 compatibilty (probably did it while troubleshooting) > undid that .... now all is well > copied all skins back to shared folder >
whew! still working after 2 days so far.....

You all seem to be using nvidia cards......make sure you have the latest Vista drivers and DO NOT use nview
