Windowblinds + Aero = Classic?

Windowblinds Intermittently forces classic look when programs load.

I have been running Windowblinds for about 4 months now on Vista, and sometimes the programs I have loaded are running in "Classic" look. Except it isn't all classic. Everything except for the title bar is in "Classic". The title bar lacks text and buttons, but they are still there. (They are invisible, because I clicked the top-right corner, and the program still exits.)

Sometimes on startup, Windows loads in classic look, and it annoys me, so I have to go to Task Manager to terminate & restart explorer.exe. I think that this problem is intermittent.

The skin i'm running is my own edited skin, based off of the default skin (the one with the Stardock Orb.) Is there something wrong with my skin? Or is it Windowblinds, or Vista's Aero fault?

I had this problem or something very similar - I am suspicious because I recently upgraded to the new version of AVG Internet Security - version 8.

Could not switch skins - it only reverted to classic or the mixture described here.

My solution: Uninstall Windowsblinds, disable AVG resident shield temporally - reinstall Windowsblinds - cange a skin, re enable AVG.

Worked like a charm after I tried everything else. Looks like some anti-virus programs may not be playing nice with Windowsblinds or vice-versa...
