Pirate Baron achievement?

I colonized the Pirate Planet, but didn't get the achievement. Do I have to colonize during the actual game? Because I continued playing after winning.

Yes, sadly, acheivements can only be completed in-game and not after continuing after winning.

There is only one achievment for it.
Yes, there can be mor than one pirate base.
No, you only need to colonize one of them.

What you have to do is colonize all pirate bases on the map. I also would advise destroying the pirate ships around the base because pirate bases generate a fair amount of income.
