Mouse back/forward buttons not working in multiplicity on secondary machine within IE

Hey guys,

I have come across something where on the primary machine, using the back and forward buttons on the mouse within IE to move between web pages works fine (as it should).

However, when moving to the secondary machine and opening up IE and trying the back and forward buttons on the mouse it does not work, nothing happens at all happens.

Is this normal? Is there a fix at all?

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.  :)

I have now replicated this issue with multiple machines, so I take it that this is normal for multiplicity?

Bump for support to see.

What type of mouse do you have?

Assuming you are using Multiplicity 1.21 you should find buttons 4 & 5 work as long as you have not enabled the switch on buttons 4/5 feature.

If you have set the mouse buttons in a mouse control panel to perform actions other than button 4 and 5 then they will be limited to the primary machine as the mouse clicks are not passed to MP.

If you're using a logitech mouse with setpoint buttons 4/5 are problematical. In V3.x they won't be shared to the secondary if on the primary any application that there was a canned special behavior profile (outlook, outlook express, word, powerpoint, excel, firefix) for the buttons defined. Deleting the special mappings won't help, setpoint still breaks multiplicity fro those apps. In setpoint 4.x the buttons are broken for all applications regardless of the existance of special profiles.

If you stop setpoint from running this won't be a problem but you loose low battery notices and tilt wheel support (vertical scroll still works). Unfortunately I'm not aware of any alternative to setpoint for the tiltwheel feature.

I have setpoint 4 running and the back/forward work. I user a program called "uber options" to enable full setpoint functionality and then assign buttons4/5 to Other:Generic button.
