7 Deadly Sins on Galaxy Forge

Adds new planets and stars to Galaxy Forge

Once installed you can create custom maps on Galaxy Forge using Uzii's and Danman's planets and stars with the need to override just one file.

You can download either Uzii's Sins Plus v1.3, Danman's 7 Deadly Sins v1.3, or Danman's Solar Sins v2.0.

Thanks to Uzii, Danman, and all the other modders for all your hard work.  :D

@tonyisme2:
I honestly don't know why it says that you don't have permission to download. I just downloaded it myself and it worked just fine. Does anybody else have this problem?
The only solution I can give you right now is for you to PM me your email address and I can personally send it to you directly, it's only 24kbs.

@Maico:
Open the "GalaxyScenarioDef" file in your galaxy forge folder to see what planets appear for random and other types. But here is what it says:
planetType
designName "Random"
designStringId "IDSGalaxyScenarioTypePlanetRandom"
orbitBodyTypeCount 29
orbitBodyType "Terran"
orbitBodyType "Terran"
orbitBodyType "Ocean"
orbitBodyType "Ocean"
orbitBodyType "Ice"
orbitBodyType "Ice"
orbitBodyType "Desert"
orbitBodyType "Desert"
orbitBodyType "Volcanic"
orbitBodyType "Volcanic"
orbitBodyType "Asteroid"
orbitBodyType "Asteroid"
orbitBodyType "DeadAsteroid"
orbitBodyType "DeadAsteroid"
orbitBodyType "AsteroidBelt"
orbitBodyType "AsteroidBelt"
orbitBodyType "AsteroidSpaceJunk"
orbitBodyType "AsteroidSpaceJunk"
orbitBodyType "Rock"
orbitBodyType "Rock"
orbitBodyType "Forest"
orbitBodyType "Forest"
orbitBodyType "Toxic"
orbitBodyType "Toxic"
orbitBodyType "City"
orbitBodyType "GasGiant"
orbitBodyType "Industrial"
orbitBodyType "Military"
orbitBodyType "Paradise"

I downloaded this, and the files all appear to be correct, but when I open Galaxy Forge, I can't pick the new planet types. Any ideas?

Okay... it will let me use the new planet types, but I have to type the type name in the dropdown box, and if I click the arrow to open the menu, it screws up the planet type. Any idea how to get the new types to appear in the dropdown menu?

I have the SAME exact issue that Eliana does.

You need to type out the name of the planet since it doesn't show in the drop-down box.

The only reason I can think of for the names not appearing in Galaxy Forge is if you didn't replace the "GalaxyScenarioDef" file, because that is what contains the new planet types for Galaxy Forge. The icons only provide the pictures for the new planets types. Please try replacing the "GalaxyScenarioDef" file again and tell me how it goes.

When i click on the downloadlink in filefront it just says "done" but the file isn't downloading. I also tried opening the download link in a new tab but it links me to "http://38.118.213.229/7heg3t8v5c+/personal/anony7/2008/91/13/1207082893-48ed308b16abc166323c",
a site by anti virus software dosn't like. Could you post this file under "mods" on wincustomize? that would help alot.

Try using this link for Sins Plus v1.2:
http://files.filefront.com/Sins+Plus+on+Galaxy+Forgezip/;9839557;/fileinfo.html

Or this link for Sins Plus v1.3:
http://files.filefront.com/Sins+Plus+v13+on+Galaxy+ezip/;9932939;/fileinfo.html

If you still can't download the file let me know:)

Weird. It worked after trying the link three times. Thanks much!

Glad to hear that you were finally able to get the file :)

will there be a sins 1.4 mod?
Reply #14 Top
Of course, but Uzii hasn't even started on 1.4 yet so it won't be out for a while.

I will continue to update Danman's Solar Sins from now on since Uzii decided to stop working on Sins Plus.

Hey, Animage64. I love what you and Uzii have done. Sins will never be the same. I only have one question. I have downloaded Sims plus and your instalment for GalaxyForge 1.3 But, when i open any map none of the planets or stars appear. I can play them in Sins but can't modify them in Forge. They are there to open but when i do, nothing appears. I have also tried to make a System from scratch and i have saved it in both Galaxy Folders but they don't show up on Sims under the Custom Maps. Any ideas would be wonderfull. Thanks.

@Coltskinner
Make sure that you have updated Sins of a Solar Empire to v1.04 and that you have downloaded the newest version of Galaxy Forge which works with v1.03 and v1.04. When SOASE got updated, the version number for all the maps changed. Make sure that your old maps work by opening them up in notepad and changing the second line from reading "versionNumber 0" to "versionNumber 1".

@Danman
Thanks, can't wait for the blackhole to come out.
