size of the download?

Hi.I live in the uk and have been wanting to buy this game since i saw a preview in a pc mag.Since it was annouced that it wouldnt be published in the uk ive been trying to decide if it was worth getting it or not. The problem is that my broadband provided has strict limits on total downloads per month and we've been having problems sticking to it.Now iv'e decided to buy it but i cant find info on the size of the download,if it is a under 1 gig then i'll get the download only and if its over ill get the boxed copy and wait for it. So can anyone tell me the size?Ive searched the site and found nothing. The closest i can get is that its around 900MB on a bittorrent site. Thanks

It is basically slightly over 900mb. Someone from Stardock could give you the exact size, probably, but I'm almost 99% certain the download itself is under 1gb ;)

I've got a pretty bad Internet connection in PA. How is the download handled when you buy the game? Can you use a download manager to resume if it borks?

SDC resumes on its own, I believe. ;)

What exactly do you download if you buy online? Is it an install kit that you can burn to a CD/DVD?

I'm asking this because:
1. The game is not available over here, but I can buy online or ask my sister abroad to buy it for me.
2. I'm a little short on HDD space and I may have to reinstall every now and then.
3. One way or another, I'm getting this game ;-)

Well, the way it works is SDC installs it automatically after it downloads. You can create a backup of it and burn it on a DVD along with the SDC installer, and that way you can have a physical backup that you can install from (you'll need SDC to extract from the archive it created, hence the SDC installer on the disc as well) so you won't need to redownload it.

So it's not quite that you're just downloading the install kit, but there's still a way to get it onto a disk :)
