CHARGE!!! wait RETREAT!!!!

I love the combat viewer and after playing Master of Orion 2 for so many years (and its still fun) I like the fact that the ship commanders battle it out themselves but why can't I order a retreat?

Because you're just watching. You're not commanding.

The combat viewer really is just a nice represantation of the abstracted combat routines.

Excellent point but I don't want my ship captains to be lemmings. If you are getting your ass kicked then retreat.

this however is really only a minor annoyance to me. I pretty much love the system.
