Game won't recognise moded file.

Have you put the file in the Data subfolder of your mod folder? Have you started a new game with the mod loaded? What exactly have you changed? A few more details would be helpful .

I'll add my $0.02:

As a mini-experiment, I changed the display name of "Cybernetic History" in the yor_techtree.xml file. I saved it in three locations, the game didn't display the changed name in any case.

I saved it in \Mods\Default\Data directory.
I saved it in \Mods\Default\Data\Techs directory.
I created a new \Mods\Default\Data\Techs\TechTrees directory and saved it there.

My game has mods enabled, and is set to \Mods\Default for the mod.

Using TA beta 5 (with the new custom races).

???

Sometimes it is something as simple as a spelling or syntax error.

Like in the OP's OP title (moded should be modded).

And sometimes it might be that it is being saved to the wrong location.
As in, saving the files in the DL folders when they should have been saved in the DA folders.
Each version has it's own folders, after all.

More info might be helpful - like, what version of the game and debug.err info.

so wait a previous thread that I just saw now actually has the same question just worded differently and it actually got solved but not this one?

Is TA set to use the same mods folder that you're using? I.e. one in the GC2 folder vs one in the TA folder.

Many people have tried to help you, and the person in the other thread did provide details as to their problem.

Have you fixed your problem yet, or do you need more help?
