All my downloads started FAILING help!

Failed download

For the last few days I have been unable to dowload anything in SDC. When I go to Downloads, the things that I am trying to download say "Failed".

In my downloads directory, they are all there with 1K file size.

I've tried disabling my virus checker and deleting temp files. Help! I can't get any new stuff.

We had the server reset. You should be ok now. Let us know if you still have troubles.

Nope - still not working. And I am also running Vista 32-bit SP1...

it seems primarily vista users that are having the issues. as it is Sunday night I wouldn't expect much until morning.

It would be wise sending a Support ticket in to SD with all the info you can Like OS and version of OS and SDC Version ands what is happening including any errors you are receiving.
The more info you provide the faster they can help as well as duplicate the problem to try and fix it. Support page here -----> WWW Link

Using Windows XP and Firefox 2, not the beta of 3. I also cannot download any skins from Stardock Central and tried the Wincustomize browser with the same result. Oddly enough, the Object Desktop programs did update just fine. Frustrated. This seems to happen often this last year, but Wincustomize browser usually works when Stardock Central does not.

I realize you guys have a lot going on with recent and upcoming product releases, but I'm reluctant to blog about them with this going on. :/

For thoes that are having trouble with the downloads, the effects the Wincustomize browser more, but please try clearing the cookies from your internet browser. If that does not help please start a ticket at support@stardock.com as we are following this closely.

Was this ever resolved? I'm still having the problem on Vista.

damoose - what browser is it that you are using?

Did you try clearing the cookies?

I have IE7 installed.

And cookies were the problem.

Doh!

Thanks

Makes sense then. Glad I could help. Wincustomize is made with IE in mind, then gets tweaked for FF, and so on... At least I am pretty certain I have that right. Should you have further need of us please let us know at support@stardock.com.
