How to disable the narrator?

I somehow pressed a button, and this dude is telling everything. How can I disable him?

Not sure I follow...  If you go into Options -> Sound you can adjust the various volumes.

When I first started to play the games. There were no person telling when my fleet went in hyperspeed, etc. But I somehow activated this, and now there is a person telling my everything that is going on. I did not even touch the volume settings before this dude came along.

theres an option that says something like "no sound while focusing" or something like that and I couldn't get any sound until i clicked it off. could be that.
