I would doubt it but it could depend on what you are asking. Why do you need tech support? Does the key say in use? I would imagine then yes, they might need it ( i think)

heres the answer i got when i said i wouldnt give my cdkey to them but they could contact stardock with my email address if they wanted to make sure i had a legit copy of the game.
orry Luke, I was only trying to expedite the process. If I can't get the
cdkey from you it will take another day to verify your address with Stardock
(they are closed atm).

We didn't care about cdkeys until we realized that a good portion of our
support was going to helping people who had torrented Sins and had
downloaded broken copies.

I completely understand if you would prefer to wait.

decided to just hand over a key after some official on these forums said its what there doing now to one of my posts.

never got an answer back from tech support after i sent my key anyway lol.

worst tech support for any games ive ever owned.

im starting to wonder wether they actually bother to look at the minidumps aswell , i checked mine out myself and there all memory errors from invalid calls.

i think its safe to say the game has bugs that need fixing.

i know im not the only one who crashes after a long time nearly everyone you talk to in a game online will say they get the same crashes with minidumps

Of course they look at the dumps. That's how they figure out what's going on. In fact, they practically beg for them. The solution isn't going to be overnight. Relax. Thing's get worked out.

Worst support?  You sure about that? We've been hands on with the community from day one.  I think we can safely say our patch record since beta has been just a tad above average.  BTW, many of the issues you are referring to are caused by people who modding their pirates, have faulty cracked games, and/or have hardware problems.  Yes there are bugs, and we are doing our best to address them, and yes, we do look at minidumps and games we receive.  We try to reply to every e-mail, but there area a lot in queue and it will take some time. For that reason we are trying to expedite those that actually paid for the game.  There are many people who would gladly give their CD key to jump to the head of the line. I don't think that is much to ask to get the service you deserve.
