I don't know if this is what you're expecting (let me know):
When I click Random for a race, something should appear to tell me it "took".
When I clicked on my scout inside my system list, my view screen turned solid gray, no details. I forget how, but I could get back to the normal view, just couldn't get the scout to come out and play. :)
When I buy a ship, there is a screen to choose who builds it, bastards of various kinds or Microsoft. There is no indication when I click on one that it has "taken".
Not sure you want to use such markers (Microsoft, bastards, whatever) for game names even in an alpha. Does it mean game technical development is racing ahead of the story? As in, you haven't chosen the real names yet? I'd recommend Company A, B, etc. then. :)

your scout problem is what I have been talking about when a scout gets stuck in system. this happens only when you are within a few spaces of the edge of the universe.

We put humor in our alphas and betas. No plans to change that. The public betas will have the final names for the companies.

Oh. Well. Sorry. ;)

RHB, btw, that debug log you put up resulted in a bug fix. Thanks! WIthout that debug log, it would have taken much more time to resolve the lease problem.

The bug was that if you didn't by default select a company but just hit accept, you'd get basically an infinite amount of money and that error.

I'm very glad to be helping. I'm sorry if I've done myself out of "an infinite amount of money", LOL. Thanks for the news.
