Jargon __ disapproving special words and phrases which are used by prticular groups of people, es. in their work ( eg. military / legal...)
Slang__ informal language, which include words and meanings which are not polite and may only stay in use for a short time. It is used by particular groups of people who know each other, and is usually spoken rather than written.
Idiom__ a group of words in a fixed order having a particular meaning, different from the meanings of each word understood on its own.
Dialect__ a form of a language which is spoken in a particular part of a country and contains some different words, grammar and pronunciation from other forms of the same language.
Acronym__ an abbreviation consisting of the first letters of each word in the name of something, pronounced as a word.
Abbreviation__ a word, name, sentence, etc,, which is made shorter ( e.g. adj. for adjective).
All of above features are used in Colloquial English __ words and expressions used informally and conversationally.
