I read this on Friday but I didn't have enough imagination to reply but I'll try now

1/ where do you live ?
Is it possible to build a QLDer in France? Actually I love Brisbane I think I'll just build my dream house here

2/ what is your marital status ?
I'm already married to a genius

3/ what type of home do you have ?
Mig/Mugs/fellow Aussies --- do you get those excerpts in the newspaper from Young Endevour/Lukemia/boystown -- you know buy 5 tickets and go into the draw for the car or house of your dreams and there's always this gorgeous house fully furnished and it has the floor plan of the house?? I once took my two favourites and built a floor plan of my dream house.
It's 3 story 7 bedroom Queenslander with a Huge kitchen, a veranda that wraps ALL the way around - and french doors among other things.

4/ what do you do for a living ?

Hmmm well since this is totally devoid from reality lets pretend I did that Art History course and I got a job in the Uffitzi or the Lourve restoring paintings....

5/ what is your greatest achievement ?

Can I restore the birth of Venus or the marriage of arnolfini (my 2 favourites)
Can childbirth be absolutely effortless?

My greatest achievement is Elana (and maybe her sibling/s - if I get the courage to give her any)

i got to thinking about whats truly important. Especially if you could only choose 5 that were totally non negotiable. Would you trade off kindness for intelligence, if the other 4 were non negotiable? Or a sense of humor for fidelity? Spontaneity for diligence? Talent for effort? Beauty over ability?

little_whip, i like the idea of it being non-negotiable. it removes the possibility of somebody just saying "i want someone great looking who is also a demon in the bedroom, rich, intelligent and faithful". (yawn). as you suggest, trading spontaneity for diligence would require definite thought in terms of would sacrificing the excitement of a spontaneous partner in return for "stable" one and it's associated implication of "boredom" be "worth" it ?.

little_whip, i like all of your ideas, you're a breath of fresh air in here. i'm going to feel so guilty getting points for this week's one, so i'm going to ensure that everybody knows where my "source material" came from (or should that be saucy material) ?

I have a home full of love and enjoyment! And it has a big yard so I can play sports with the kids, and entertain guests!!!

alright muggy. sounds like a plan

I am a Sports journalist, also studying my PhD in History because I want to be Dr. Muggaz.

do you actually plan to study, muggy ?. you should. i have a friend who is a sports writer for a national paper if you want some work experience ? ... i actually arranged for marco to talk to him after he graduated uni (marco that is, not the journalist), but did marco do it ?. no !. hehe.

it's ok trina, i know that you really mean that mean elana wouldn't give you five minutes to yourself for a wee, let alone a blog comment !

you know buy 5 tickets and go into the draw for the car or house of your dreams and there's always this gorgeous house fully furnished and it has the floor plan of the house??

oooh, those art union things. i know those. it's always this massive house and you get a car and a boat and money and stuff. i always look at them, bu they scare me. heeh

It's 3 story 7 bedroom Queenslander with a Huge kitchen, a veranda that wraps ALL the way around - and french doors among other things.

Did they????? I haven't seen it - Wow - no I made mine up two years ago from a few of the ones I liked with Nick's imput- he wants a "trophy room" downstairs -and at the stage I was dreaming this house up Elana was also a dream - she was going to be a boy called Elijah Robert-Kim, a girl Arella Elizabeth Marie another boy Braedan Nicholas Miles and another girl Georgia Ann-Rose.
They were going to be 18months 3years and 18months apart

But we have Elana Grace and we wouldn't trade her for all the dreams and if she has siblings they'll be ages away and won't have any of those names

btw, how are the peas going ?

We had our first attempt at peas yesterday afternoon and I have to say they went down a whole lot better then the first attempts of carrot and sweet potato - better then the 4th & 5th attempts of carrot & sweet potato. But they're kinda weird - I used frozen onest mash (heinz baby peas extra sweet & juicy) and they don't mash very well.
I think next monday we'll try plain potato (the white ones)

Anyway Miggy - Where's YOUR dream five?

you know muggy, people will assume you're joking. they simply do not know that one has to be call-screened (the indignity) to prevent unauthorised access to the mugman. yes, ladies ... he speaks to me ... we're friends ... oooooh .... but psycho avoidance can be a full-time job for muggy. oh, woops, i wasn't going to mention how amazingly charming you are, was i ?. or talk about how many little girls persue you at every turn just panting to ravish you ... oh, well. c'est la vie. get window bars

Finishing school and putting up with my father-in-law for a whole day now

emma, if your father-in-law in any way resembles mine, then these acheivements are at least equal hehe

A pretty yellow house with blue shutters and a white picket fence

another sweet girly house. i love this !

I used frozen onest mash (heinz baby peas extra sweet & juicy)

i'm not an authority on babies by any stretch, hehe, but i had my baby neice for a week whilst my sister was ill last year, and she hated green peas. my sister (phoning from her bed) was determined that she eat them and was getting all upset about vitamins, etc. in desperation my mother told me to give her those "surprise peas" you buy freeze-dried in the little packets, and i have never seen such a turnaround !. what a relief. she absolutely scarfed them down. apparently it's an old mother trick thing. they do seem to be sweet, so maybe elana might go for them

Anyway Miggy - Where's YOUR dream five?

thanks, trina. i love being asked !. it seems silly answering my own questions otherwise heh

ok, here goes:

1/ i would in the same suburb i live in now (small beachside suburb just north of coffs harbour on the north coast of nsw). our house is about 400m from a very quiet beach, and our suburb has no high-rises (no buildings over 2 stories at all, actually). there are only around 2000 or so people living here. there are no supermarkets and no traffic. kids ride their bikes in the street. dogs and birds everywhere. tropical climate. i want to die here.

2/ i'd marry phil again tomorrow. in fact, we are renewing our vows soon . but, in my dreams he would be so much tidier, or i would be less anal about cleaning, or somewhere in there. (also, he would be on occasion able to temporarily morph into some type of cross between jack black, the marquis de sade, john malkovich and sophia loren). ahem. pardon me. neeeeext ....hehe

3/ i love the house we have now, it's tiny and cozy. the bottom floor is 2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, laundry, dining, sunroom, and the whole top floor is a "loft" with a peaked ceiling. i'd probably make it bigger, but only by building a very flash guest house in the yard to keep the ceaseless stream of visitors out of my house. heh. we changed this house to almost exactly what we want and it's a bit strange, actually. all the lighting comes from the ground. the floors are all concrete. the walls are concrete blocks. half of the sunroom gets rained on (on purpose) and it's like a jungle off the back of the house. there is no door on the bathroom (which has a floor of 1/4 tonne of loose white pebbles and a ceramic garden pot for a basin ... the tub takes up half the room and there is no power in there except for a rice paper light. it's a bathing room only. no hairdryers and shit). i'm raving. hehe. ok, next ...

4/ i take care of people

5/ if i could say i was the best person i could be, i'd be happy

Say it then, mig, for you seem very happy indeed!

you know what, little_whip, you're right ! ... for a mildly debauched and slightly toxic cynical jaded confused old bag, i am doing GREAT hehe

Oh, and, plah @ points

agreed. (you fabulous woman, you !)

wo00oT, amen to that, but uhmmmm, me being hopelessly hetero, can i exchange Sophia Loren for Christopher Walken?

ohhhhh cristopher walken. yes!. big yes !. (anyway, little_whip, i really only wanted sophia for the way she says "dahrrrr-ling", but if christopher promises to make that really intense mean-mother face, then you have a deal. he's in !).
