HD-DVD Finally Dead.... Toshiba leaves Microsoft at the bedsite for last rites.

Toshiba has ceased production of HD-DVD and will soon be switching over to Blu-Ray thanks to a joint venture it hedged with Samsung. This leaves Microsoft as the only big name left with HD-DVD on the xBox 360 (thankfully as an external addon, not internal). Obviously, they'll have to come out with a Blu-Ray player themselves soon, which will be quite a lump to swallow since it is a Sony format.
