Sins of a Solar Empire ERROR while installing!

D:\data\OFFLINE\E8A1B781\C430383C\Activate.Ing

I just purchased this game from WalMart today and was very excited to install it and get playing. Much to my frustration as soon as the screen states it's going to take a couple of minutes it stalls at this point: File: Activate.Ing, Directory: C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar empire\ Then after a few minutes it states "ERROR reading from file D:\data\OFFLINE\E8A1B781\C430383C\Activate.Ing . Funny thing is I searched the disc and NO WHERE IS SUCHS A FILE "C430383C" found! There is however several "C430389C". Anyone else having this issue? What is the fix?

I had the same problem installing the game on Windows Vista.

I installed this update, gave it a reboot, and it installed fine.

Major problem!!! All the fixes to this problem are all for Vista, however I have this exact problem but I am running XP service pack 3 with every update I could find. As well, I've tried copying the disc to my harddrive and installing from there, but the copy tries to find the same non-existant file. Help please! I know my computer blows away even the recommended specs, and the disc is good because my cousin installed it on his laptop running Vista only a few hours ago, and has had no problems. It seems that the only problems reported were reported as Vista problems, but I'm having a Vista problem with XP S3, so gimme some love!

I have XP Sp3 as well. SP3 is almost like vista so you would get the errors.
