How are the download times?

Hey, so I just found out that Sins of a Solar Empire will run on my PC, and if it doesn't, Im upgrading my video card today. But anyway, if I choose to download the game, I have a few questions for you.

1.) Would you recommend downloading it?
2.) How long does it take to download?
3.) Does it come with a manual?

Sorry for all the questions but I'd really like to know... Thank you for your help :D

Downloaded for me around 800kb/s and its about 1gb. Your download speed would depend on your connection.

There is a PDF manual.

1) Yes i would, SD is very reliable when it comes to their services, so i can safely recommend downloading the game through them rather than trying to find a physical copy of the game somewhere.
2) Download speeds while downloading for me were usually around the 520 KB/s mark, which is infact the maximum for my connection. So you should be seeing a pretty decent speed.
Total download is just over 1GB, so at that speed downloading it only takes 40 minutes or so. Infact, most Demo's of current games are larger than this. :D
3) The manual is included in the download, you can find it in the game directory after installing.

Stardock makes it very easy to download. I have cable broadband and was topping speeds around 1.5mbs, albeit it did slowy drop to around 750kbs near the end. All in all, it took me around 15-20 minutes to download. And once it was on my HD, Stardock did the rest: it installed it, registered it, and asked me if I wanted to play it all with a single click of the mouse! You can't beat that service! The only downside of DLing it is that the manual is in PDF form, of course. But you could always print out the portions that you want to have handy.
