Preparing to buy Windows blinds

Couple of questions

I've been using windowsblinds for my windows xp pc.. Working great. The 30 day trial is up now, and I've been debating about paying $20USD for it. I have a couple of questions before purchase.(I've looked on https://www.stardock.com and haven't found some answers. But if you have i'd Appreciate it if you would give me the link.)

If i pay for WB, I get a verification(something like that). I think i can handle that, just copy and paste the number. But if i accidentally uninstall WB(or pc crashes ect.), can i d/l WB again using the same number for verification ? (on the same pc).

I wil be using this on my desktop primarily, but could i use it on my laptop aswell with one verification #? (I highly doubt this, but worth asking)

Would it help me any to request the CD, just so i have it?

I have stardock central downloaded.. This will update WB free, right?

If WB doesn't work for me(it worked in trial great, i assume it will work just fine with the real version.)Can i get my money back or tech support other than forums?

If i think of another questions i will post.

Thanks,
Cutt3r.

You should use Stardock Central to manage your Stardock apps.  It will use your email addy and password to verify ownership and provide you with updates and archiving and much more.  Check it out.

The license allows for this.

Nope.  The digital download system Stardock has is awesome.  You can burn your own CD if you want for less cost.

Yes

Official support is available by email and phone.  The email is support@stardock.com.  If you have a problem that tech cannot solve you can get a refund.  They'll walk you through that.  But if the trial worked . . . the full version will too.

May I suggest that you look at ObjectDesktop before you buy WB.  It's a great deal at a great cost (that will be going up soon).  Now is the time to get in while the getting is good.

yes - support page at stardock.com = enter email, serial/link is sent or just put serial in SDC and redownload/install
cross reference stardock and WC and your serial can be found in your account info here also

yes - as long as you are the main user

personal preference - may be extra goodies on it, don't remember = bought disk in 2003, been just updating via SDC since

Doesn't matter how slow your dial up is...if you are already slow.....LMAO...  but even if your dial up is slow we know we get the right answers from you folks. This is the place to be for answers about anything and yes buy the whole program. It's well worth the money and only a few bucks more for a much better program that includes so many more features.
When you add it all up, it's a great deal, you can see why they are gonna raise the price soon. Trust me get it now while you can and see for yourself all the wonders.
This is more than windowblinds.
If you trial something else here you will see that added all up it costs way more, and you will try other things.
Good Luck and we will see you here.

I'd agree about getting ObjectDesktop instead of WindowBlinds. You get IconPackager and DesktopX, two important programs for changing your Desktop. That's not nearly all, either. The ObjectDesktop CD is a joke, it's way out of date, so you'll end up downloading the whole thing anyway. If you're on dialup like me, it's a 24 hour job at least. The good news is that it's well worth it. It's a wonder what it allows you to do to your computer; there's an amazing number of good looking skins, and the skinners themselves come on these forums and help out the newcomers (like me). I'm new to this, and I'm kind of surprised. It is like a family in a way; the support is tremendous. Good luck!

The ODNT CD is a snapshot of all the app available when teh snapshot was taken.  Depending on the time of year . . it can be at most, 364 day out of sync.  Of course . . as often as Stardock improves and updates their apps . . that can be a very old version.  :)

One of the other nice things about SDC is that only the files that need updating are updated.  So, if you are on dial-up, you'll take a hit once and have incremental downloads as you go.   :CONGRAT:
