Can't get my gold edition to register, need Help!

when ever i try to register my product i enter the cd-key and try to register it its says there is an error and thats its not registered to my account. what do i do?

If you bought it new from a retail store it was probably returned after it was already registered, and then resold as new. If so, you should return it and get a fresh copy.
