How can i create a docklet for the rest of my desktop shortcuts?

How can i create something like the windows 'Start' docklet but for the rest of my shortcuts that are on the desktop, plus is there a way to hide the windows desktop 'recycle bin', i'm using Objectdock 1.9 plus.

Perhaps a flyout menu, is what you mean? https://www.wincustomize.com/articles.aspx?aid=163569 As far as hidding the recycle bin, I've done that several times. Just use google you'll find many options on moving,renaming and all that. Hope this helps...

You could right click the dock > Add > New Shortcut > in the dialog that pops up > "Link" Desktop (from the drop down menu) > check "Show folder in a menu".
(But that's not really a 'Docklet' Docklets are mini application that work on the dock).

Other than right clicking Desktop > Arrange Icons By > uncheck Show Desktop Icons, which will hide ALL the icons, you'll have to follow w4xpl4y3r's advice.

Thanks to you both for the suggestions , Koasati i followed the instructions and that's exactly what i was looking for, the only thing i'd like to now do is change the style of icon used for this folder, and find something more in keeping with Objectdock's other graphics.

I'll have a search for other suitable icons in the download sections.

Get this Microsoft power tool (TweakUi) to hide your Recycle Bin. After you install it open it up and click on "Desktop" then uncheck "Trash." This will hide your desktop Recycle Bin. ;)
