What are you doing?

Since we are in the final couple weeks of life in the pre Sins era of humanity I figured it would be a good thing for the community to get a little organized with our efforts to promote the franchise relating to our on-line efforts.

For example I include a link in all my emails to everyone for both personal and business related correspondences. I have also set up a clan networking site (not public yet) and will be placing ads on all my domains. I have also sent many informative emails to lots of media sites and reviewer types. I will also be forum-whoring Sins as well shortly. Thus the idea for the creation of this post.

So lets post links to all the sites and our threads that we have made on different domains so we can get some sort of idea about the reach and extent of the community.

ya one can only hope that SD/IC find a publisher for europe. There is defiantly interested for such a game in germany. I know so many ppl waiting for a game like this (ya i ofc already informed them about this game ) and im sure that many more are out there just waiting for someone to show them a game like Sins.

well, creating posts seems to intrusive to me, but I do search gamestar and 4players forums for any entries and drop comments, video links and the like. I found pcgames rather doing it when it comes to online community, fairly few posts. I might also take one of those avatars for the sig and do some regular posts, also gets attention.

you're right, those mags do get a lot of attention still, they also did a few preview on the game iirc. I just dont use them personally, since there are free and better alternatives on the net and some tests showed their biases quite clearly. I have no idea whether they will even test it, I'd say even if they dont, they will see ratings at international mags which gets their attention and which will prompt them to do so. they are not in a hurry though, since distribution is still unsolved. I mean I'd love to see the game have success in europe. not that I'm a huge online gamer normally, but its a big market and it would be a pitty if they all missed such a good game. god knows there is enough mass-produced crap out there.

Some sig banners would be cool. I wish I was an artist.

You may not be an artist, but I know this guy who owns this game company that employs several artists...

ROFL!! I keep thinking the same thing!! Come on Brad if you are feeling froggy leap! Remember Sins premium suite (red, black and gray pallet) with Dreamscape (blue sun and a couple ships in formation on patrol slowly going by it).

@German players - one of the guys on the admin team for my forums apparently knows a guy who does mod features for games on German TV. He said the show is very popular. Maybe you guys and get together and contact this guy as a group and get him to do a feature on Sins for German TV. The persons name on my forums is Theoderich II.

@Frogboy - OK another developer from an unnamed company jumped in the debate and he basically said strong DRM is the answer for developers like it or lump it. I responded preaching the gospel and referenced SD again. I do think you as the President and founder of SD should step in however. You voice would carry far more weight then my "fanboy" one. The last post is here.

Please remember that several professional game reviewers and other developers actively read that site.
