What are you doing?

Since we are in the final couple weeks of life in the pre Sins era of humanity I figured it would be a good thing for the community to get a little organized with our efforts to promote the franchise relating to our on-line efforts.

For example I include a link in all my emails to everyone for both personal and business related correspondences. I have also set up a clan networking site (not public yet) and will be placing ads on all my domains. I have also sent many informative emails to lots of media sites and reviewer types. I will also be forum-whoring Sins as well shortly. Thus the idea for the creation of this post.

So lets post links to all the sites and our threads that we have made on different domains so we can get some sort of idea about the reach and extent of the community.

Oh man, I wish I could help, but sadly this release and the weeks prior to it fall on pretty much the bussiest time of my entire year.

Of course you can help. I'm not talking about daily quotas and other such things of that ilk. The time and effort you invested into making that post is sufficient to be sure.

One need not even go to communities they are not active in. A bare minimum effort would simply be to make a post in communities you support and or include a signature image for Sins with a link to the official domain in them.

OK. I pimped Sins for the third time on the Opposable Thumb forums Here.

In a thread about the decline of PC gaming (yet again). Interestingly enough someone else pimped SD before I did as well.

Thanks. I try to do a few things every day. In the end it all ads up methinks.

BTW: Frogboy or you for that matter, should post in that thread as a PC only development company. I think people would love to hear your perspective on the PC vs console debate. It would be some nice spin as well. SD already has some nice spin going in it. Hell the door is open step through. That site is one of the busiest on the net for techheads and the gamers there tend to be older and well informed consumers.

Me too brother, me too! :NOTSURE:
However the work for Sins is really good. Your guys should make a dozen or so and put them on the website. I'll even host them if bandwidth would be a concern. I pay for enough of it and dont use most of it anyway.

What I would really like for you guys to do is leverage your WinCustomise community and have a contest for skins and desktops. I would love a Sins premium suite with a dreamscape to boot.

cool idea. I tried a bit myself, I think I got a few ppl quite interested, but I cant see german mags reporting too much or ppl discussing it very much here.

btw, could we maybe change the title to "guerrilla marketing " I mean gorilla marketing may also be interesting, but it might involve bananas and apes and the like, which has fairly little to do with the game. except if the counter to the space ponies is now cosmic king kong from andromeda.

Yeah both words work well. I know I'm buying anything a 600lbs gorilla has to sale when it comes knocking on my door. :SURPRISED:

For what it is worth I chose the animal term due to the raw power, strength, dominate and aggressive nature that comes to mind when considering it (relating the traits to the game as well as nature of word of mouth promotions) vs the terroristic underpinnings of the other term and worries about the politically correct police crashing the party or tainting the spin if people used the term on other sites.

Anyway I changed the title. I hope people don't start to bitch about it. :NOTSURE:

This is mostly because there is still no German publisher.
I asked on gamecaptain.de why they do not have even one article about sins or why sins isnt in their release list. They said that there is no german publisher and no german release date, so they wont put it into their release list. :SNIFF!:

Hmmm... With global digital distribution via TGN it should qualify methinks. I wonder when a game tracking site will track title with only digital distribution on a second list from those with physical distribution. Hell they could have a third list with both and make everyone happy.

While I'm on the topic, personally speaking I think GamersGate (GG) and TGN should merge or at least do a partnership of some sort (looking at Brad).

Achja und mein Video habe ich auch noch bei Myvideo hochgeladen. Des hat sogar schon ein paar klicks...

ya one can only hope that SD/IC find a publisher for europe. There is defiantly interested for such a game in germany. I know so many ppl waiting for a game like this (ya i ofc already informed them about this game :p ) and im sure that many more are out there just waiting for someone to show them a game like Sins.

for the germans here (more than i thought): Bin mal gespannt wie die PC Games/Gamestar Sins bewerten werden, zwar sind mir solche Reviews egal, aber ihren Einfluss auf den Erfolg eines Spiels kann man nicht leugnen.
Bei guten reviews wird sich dann doch bestimmt ein Publisher finden lassen.
