copy paste pri-sec works but not vice vera

I have vista on both computers. I open notepad on primary and type test1 and copy it. I move mouse to secondary and paste into notepad there. This works fine. Then, while still on secondary, i type test2 in notepad and copy that. Then i move mouse back to primary and try to paste into notepad and the moment i hit paste, windows vista (on primary) says MP has stopped working and needs to close. Help me fix this. rick

Can you verify that the file dates are the same on both systems?

Look in the c:\program files\stardock\think desk\multiplicity folders on both PCs.  Make sure all the dates are teh same.

Okay, they are all the same except for sig.bin and INSTALL.LOG. On primary, these 2 files have the date 12/10/07 6:23pm and on the secondary these 2 files have the date 12/12/07 6:15pm. What next? rick

To Neil: um, i don't know what i did or what changed/happened, but i can now copy text between machines w/o any errors. I enabled the "copy images" checkbox to test and answer your question about images and it works as well as text copying. Don't know what made things work.

To Chubs39: thanks for the tips. I now know where to venture if i want to try diagnosing and possibly fixing some MP issues. I've heard many people say to be "super careful" with the risky nature of modifying the registry. That's why i never seem to go in there.

I am having the same or similar problem.

I have Multiplicity Pro 1.21 and my XP primary can copy clipboard to the Vista secondary, but NOT the other way around.

And the copy file feature does NOT work in either direction. When I click paste the MP balloon pops up to say it's going to copy and that it might take a few minutes, but no file ever shows up in the destination location.

I checked the reg setting mentioned in this post, mine both already have 1 as the value. Also, both the MP versions/dates are the same (from the same installation file).
