WinCustomise Browser Login Fail

WinCustomise Browser Login Fail

For the last two days I have been getting an error when logging in the the Wincustomise Browser - version 2.00c[b].003. Was working fine until then.

Anyone else have the problem? I recall I had a similar issue a fwe years ago and it was a problem at the Stardock end. I haven't seen any other posts on this.

Well i knew it was to good to be true, The WC Browser has stopped working again with the same error about logging in.

SDC is working, albeit with some scripting errors, So i guess ill have to uninstall and re-download and re-install again, It's getting to be a Pain in the *rse, doing all this .

I'm using the Web Browser thru SDC with no problems. Have been for awhile. Has to be something else that is causing the problem. :NOTSURE:

On a XP Home, SP2 set up with DSL connection.

jeffo1 try a quick uninstall/reinstall and kill you cookies. Might want to do that in reverse order.

Seabass: i did as you asked, now i can use Wincustomize Browser, but SDC still has script errors (its useable, but script errors pop-up). this is one of the errors:

Internet Explorer Script Error.

An error has occured in the script on this page:

Line 492
char 1
error: Object expected
code: 0
url: https://www.joeuser.com/index.htm

depending on which tab i use - either news or chat its the same error but different lines.

Cheers

edit: I dont know if i should be posting this here, or in the General forum for Stardock.

I appologise if its in the wrong section. :SNIFF!:

No you are fine. Have you tried uninstalling SDC and reinstalling? Sounds like you have a corrupted update or the wrong version.

 -Run the file here: http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/remove_sdc.bat
 -Restart your computer
 -Reinstall SDC from here: http://sdc.stardock.com/sdcentral_setup.exe

I have run the sdc.bat file, it leaves some SDC files in \program files, I re-installed SDC, but it still has errors, I uninstalled again and manually removed the left over files, and re-installed, Still has the scripting errors.

Strange thing is, i'm using Firefox as my Web Browser, and the Internet Explorer scripting errors appear.

Its the same if i use I.E.7.
