When applying any downloaded skin, it goes back to windows 2000 look.

The only skins that work are the ones that came with the installation, but if i download one off the internet, and apply it, it just goes back to that old theme.


how can i fix this? windowblinds is pretty useless if i can't use downloaded skins.

im using the latest version, 6.01

Open the WindowBlinds Configuration screen and click on System info. Copy/paste that info here.

Hey Philly, ya can't always trust that is correct age.
I also noted from profile that TwoDz is a Visitor, member for 9 months, 0 mb downloaded, with WB that appears to be purchased. "WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC" that is what this indicates. Two dates from this install are dated today, this is a common thing to see with cracked versions.

If was a corrupt install or install over trial that was messed up, all skins would be problematic. Included skins working, download not working also indicates to me a messed up cracked version.

Until it goes belly-up again anyway, the cracked version are well known to not work properly very long. Again, this is what happens when a 14 year old kid hacks and slashes the coding originally done by a pro.

Well, I DO have a legit version - stardock central, all that stuff... and I have been having a similar problem, where WB6 will not apply any skins.. it just reverts back to the CLASSIC gui.. Frustrating cuz I've used WB for a longtime... I've UNinstalled and REinstalled WB6 several times with no luck. Maybe I should try reverting back to WB5? But I shouldn't have to. Here are my system info details. Anybody with any ideas? TIA!
